EVs can only be practical in a densely urbanised area, which 90% of Australia isn't. They're not gonna put a charging station in the middle of the desert. And wont the heat there kill batteries faster, not to mention if a wildfire gets to an EV and sets it ablaze for a whole week. Practicality is more important than reducing your carbon footprint by 1%.

EV sales in many markets are growing slowly if at all. China is the only place where they are rapidly growing. Tesla had negative sales growth in the USA in 2024 versus 2023. Elimination of tax credits in the USA will cause the entire BEV enterprise to circle the drain......

Scrooling through the videos from the likes of John Cardigan ( alleged Aussie car expert), Scotty Kilmer (cranky, failed former mechanic in the USA with a bug up his arse), and The Piston Pundit (proof that you can build an entire channel built on lies and disinformation, like Fox nuwz, brainchild of Aussie coprolite Rupert Murdoch) you get a sense that their disconnection from reality is growing even faster than the rate of adoption of electric vehicles. Its in direct proportion to the increasing amount of money they are receiving from. fossil fuel interests desperate to keep their planet-killing enterprises on track regardless of how grim they are making the future.
